Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri
Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri is an Italian artist internationally known for his science-fiction-erotic series Druuna (from 1985), which appeared across Europe and the United States in magazines such as L’Écho des Savanes and Heavy Metal. Earlier in his career Serpieri contributed extensively to the Italian western comic tradition. His academically trained draughtsmanship and baroque sensibility place him among the most recognisable European fantasy illustrators.
