About the artist
Arthur Adams
Arthur Adams is an American comic artist whose hyper-detailed, densely inked pages made him one of the most admired cover and interior artists of the late 1980s and ’90s. His six-issue miniseries Longshot (1985, Marvel) with writer Ann Nocenti launched both a new character and a visual vocabulary widely imitated for decades. His creator-owned Monkeyman and O’Brien further showcased his love of classic monster design and kinetic action, a style that continues to define his acclaimed cover work.
