Simon Bisley

Simon Bisley is a British artist celebrated for his explosive mixed-media painting style. His breakthrough came with Slaine: The Horned God (1989–1991) in 2000 AD, where his Celtic-inflected full-colour painted pages redefined the magazine's visual ambition. He brought the same heavy-metal aesthetic to DC's Lobo alongside writer Keith Giffen, and later to the crossover classic Batman/Judge Dredd: Judgment on Gotham. Bisley's visceral brushwork has made him one of the most imitated painters in modern comics.
