Luis Royo

Luis Royo is a Spanish painter and illustrator of international reputation in the fields of fantasy and erotic fantasy. His career began in Spanish publications of the 1980s before his painted covers and portfolios — collected in art books such as Malefic, Prohibited Book and Dome — brought him a global audience. Royo's lush oil-painting technique and characteristic imagery (armoured women, ornate creatures, charged atmospheres) have made him one of the most widely collected Spanish commercial artists.
