Jaime Calderón

Jaime Calderón is a Barcelona-born illustrator and comic artist best known for his richly painted historical series for the French market. After learning the craft under teachers such as Enri Paixà and López Espí and a decade of commercial work (1994–2004), he turned to long-form comics with the medieval-themed Isabelle, la Louve de France and Valois, building a reputation for meticulous historical research and luminous colour. He also directs the Escuela Femart in Barcelona, training a new generation of figurative artists.
