Superman
About the artist
Joe Jusko
Joe Jusko is an American painter and illustrator internationally known for his 1992 Marvel Masterpieces trading-card series, which reset the standard for painted licensed-property imagery. He has subsequently produced extensive cover work for Marvel and Dynamite (including several long-running Edgar Rice Burroughs titles), grounded in a classical painted-fantasy tradition descended from Frazetta.
About this series
Superman
Superman, created in 1938 by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, is the founding figure of the American superhero. The character's visual identity was consolidated across the decades by artists including Wayne Boring, Curt Swan, José Luis García-López and John Byrne, and has been extended in the modern era through Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's All-Star Superman, Mark Waid's Superman: Birthright and the work of Gary Frank.
