About the artist

Salvador Larroca

Salvador Larroca is a Spanish comic artist with one of the longest contemporary tenures in American mainstream comics. His Marvel credits include extended runs on X-Men (with writers Joe Casey and Mike Carey), the Matt Fraction-written Invincible Iron Man, and the publisher’s relaunched Star Wars title. Larroca’s heavily rendered, photo-referenced style has made him a reliable collaborator for major event series.

About this series

Fantastic Four

The Fantastic Four, created in 1961 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, is the inaugural title of the Marvel Age. Kirby's sixty-issue run with Lee is regarded as one of the foundational statements of the modern superhero comic; later significant runs by John Byrne (as writer-artist) and Carlos Pacheco have kept the title central to Marvel's creative identity.
