About the artist

R.M. Guéra

R.M. Guéra (Rajko Milošević) is a Serbian-born artist celebrated for his contribution to contemporary American comics. Trained as a painter, he brought a distinctly European sensibility to the mainstream with Scalped (Vertigo), his long-running collaboration with writer Jason Aaron — a hard-edged crime saga that earned wide critical acclaim. Guéra’s style is characterised by raw, atmospheric linework and a painterly use of tone, bridging the gestural tradition of European art comics with the narrative density of American crime fiction. He later reunited with Aaron on the biblical western The Goddamned.

About this series

Conan the Barbarian

Conan the Barbarian, Robert E. Howard's Cimmerian warrior created in the 1932 pulps, has been a fixture of comics since Marvel's 1970 adaptation by writer Roy Thomas and artist Barry Windsor-Smith — later continued for a historic run by John Buscema. Countless artists across Marvel and Dark Horse have since contributed to the Hyborian Age, making Conan one of the most continuously illustrated literary characters in the medium.
