Captain Marvel

Jim Starlin is an American writer-artist best known as the creator of Thanos and the architect of Marvel’s cosmic mythology from the 1970s onward. His runs on Captain Marvel and Warlock introduced a psychedelic, Ditko-influenced approach to superhero metaphysics; the Infinity Gauntlet trilogy of the early 1990s would later inform a generation of Marvel films. His creator-owned Dreadstar was one of the flagship titles of the early Epic Comics line.
