About the artist

José Luis García-López

José Luis García-López is a Spanish-born, Argentine-raised artist whose decades of work for DC Comics have made him one of the most influential quiet masters of the American superhero. His designs for the DC Comics Style Guide of the 1980s established the house-standard look of Superman, Batman and the entire DC roster for licensing and merchandising worldwide. His interior work on titles from Atari Force to Cinder and Ashe demonstrates a classical, impeccably clean line that has made him a reference for later artists from Bruce Timm onward.
