Milo Manara is one of the most internationally celebrated Italian comic artists of the post-war era. Trained in architecture, he joined the Italian comics scene in the 1970s before achieving worldwide recognition with Le Déclic and his long collaborations with Hugo Pratt (Indian Summer) and Federico Fellini. Manara's work is defined by his classical line, elegant figuration and a sensual approach to storytelling that marries Renaissance draughtsmanship with the rhythms of European bande dessinée.
