Kim (Joaquim Aubert Puigarnau) is one of the most recognised political cartoonists in Spain, with a long-running career at the satirical weekly El Jueves — where his character Martínez el Facha has been a fixture since the post-Franco transition. Beyond satire, he earned critical acclaim for his collaboration with writer Antonio Altarriba on the graphic novel El arte de volar and its sequel El ala rota, both awarded Spain’s National Comics Prize. His crisp, unadorned pen line serves a consistently humanist perspective.
