Kevin O’Neill was a British comic artist whose dense, sardonic visual style made him one of the most singular cartoonists to emerge from 2000 AD. His creator-owned series with writer Pat Mills — Nemesis the Warlock and the superhero satire Marshal Law — preceded his long collaboration with Alan Moore on The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, an encyclopaedic reimagining of Victorian popular fiction.
