John Bolton is a British illustrator celebrated for his painted, photo-referenced style and strong associations with horror and dark fantasy. He rose to prominence in the late 1970s with Marvel UK before contributing interior stories and covers for Classic X-Men, creating Marada the She-Wolf with Chris Claremont and illustrating Neil Gaiman’s The Books of Magic.
