Giovanna Casotto is an Italian comic-book artist and illustrator considered one of the international references of contemporary erotic comics. Trained at the School of Comics in Milan, she rose to prominence from 1994 with stories serialised in the Italian magazine Selen, where her voluptuous protagonists and 1950s pin-up sensibility (often using herself as a photographic reference) defined the visual idiom of the genre. Her long collaboration with Franco Saudelli has shaped much of her published work since the mid-nineties.
