Dave Gibbons is an English comic artist best known for his collaboration with writer Alan Moore on Watchmen (DC, 1986–1987), widely considered one of the most important graphic novels ever produced. Earlier credits include extensive work for 2000 AD (including Rogue Trooper and Judge Dredd). With writer Frank Miller he co-created the dystopian Martha Washington saga. Gibbons served as the UK’s first Comics Laureate (2014–2016).
