André Juillard is a French comic artist associated with the classical Franco-Belgian ligne claire tradition. His historical fresco Les 7 Vies de l’Épervier, with writer Patrick Cothias, is a landmark of French historical comics; he has also produced acclaimed continuations of Edgar P. Jacobs’s Blake et Mortimer. Juillard’s meticulously detailed compositions have earned him the Grand Prix de la Ville d’Angoulême.
