About the artist

Frank Quitely

Frank Quitely (Vincent Deighan) is a Scottish comic artist widely considered one of the most accomplished draughtsmen working in English-language comics today. His long collaboration with writer Grant Morrison produced Flex Mentallo, The Authority, New X-Men, the acclaimed All-Star Superman and the animal-rights fable WE3. Quitely’s thickly inked yet emotionally delicate line brings a distinctly humanist register to superhero storytelling.

About this series

Thor

Thor, Marvel's reinterpretation of the Norse thunder god, was launched in 1962 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby — whose long original run produced some of the most cosmologically ambitious pages in American comics. Subsequent significant runs include Walt Simonson's self-written and drawn tenure in the 1980s and, more recently, Jason Aaron's run with artists including Esad Ribić.
