Horacio Altuna is an Argentine cartoonist whose daily strip El Loco Chávez (1975–1987, with writer Carlos Trillo) was one of the most widely followed comic serials in the Argentine press. After emigrating to Spain during the dictatorship, he produced a distinguished body of adult-oriented graphic novels for European publishers, known for their elegant black-and-white brushwork and frankly observational approach to contemporary life.
