Manuel Sanjulián is a Spanish illustrator internationally known for his painted covers for Warren Publishing’s horror magazines Creepy, Eerie and Vampirella during the 1970s. Working through the Selecciones Ilustradas agency, he brought a refined European painterly tradition to the American horror-comic newsstand, combining gothic atmosphere with a sumptuous classical technique. He was named Warren’s Best Cover Artist multiple times and remains a touchstone of the golden age of fantasy illustration.
