Sal Buscema
Sal Buscema was a prolific Marvel Comics penciller whose steady, dynamic style shaped several defining runs. Brother of John Buscema, he became best known for his long stint on The Incredible Hulk in the 1970s, as well as memorable work on The Defenders, Spectacular Spider-Man and ROM: Spaceknight. His clean storytelling and reliable craftsmanship made him one of Marvel’s most dependable visual voices across four decades.

Spider-Man, co-created in 1962 by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, is one of the defining characters of the Marvel Age. Foundational runs include Ditko's original tenure, John Romita Sr.'s Silver Age pages, Todd McFarlane's high-commercial 1990s relaunch and Mark Bagley's Ultimate Spider-Man with Brian Michael Bendis — a lineage that has made Spider-Man one of the most continuously drawn characters in American comics.
